WELCOME TO NELPCF
WHO ARE WE
Hi There! We are the Parent Carer Forum for North East Lincolnshire and it is important to note that we are independent of the LA (Local Authority).
We are a passionate group of parent carers of children with a range of different needs and disabilities and we champion, support and strive for positive change for SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) children and their families in North East Lincolnshire.
We believe in co-production: to work closely with the Local Authority, services and professionals in order to ensure that the correct level of support is available for children with SEND, and their families, in North East Lincolnshire.
As a parent carer forum, we are not able to offer individual advice and support, however, we are able to signpost you to relevant services and places where you can access the support you need. We also have some helpful resources on our website!

WORKING TOGETHER
Led by parents, for parents, passionate about making a difference, we aim to make the voices of parents just like us, heard, right where it matters. We do this by working in partnership with services in the local authority to create a better life for children living with SEND.
We believe in co-production and working closely with the Local Authority, Services and Professionals that support our children.
We aim to gather the experiences- good and bad- of families of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, living in North East Lincolnshire. We can then share these experiences within meetings we attend to be able to make a changes going forward.

COFFEE MORNINGS

We hold monthly coffee mornings at Cafe Aspire, (21 Freeman St, Grimsby DN32 7AB). This is a brilliant chance for parent/carers to come together to be able to have a chat with one another and if needed have a chat with a NELPCF representative.
These coffee mornings have been successful and parent/carers have left feeling empowered and positive after listening to the experience of others and being able to share their own stories with others too.
We understand how daunting it can be to take that first step and do something new. We want to make it as comfortable for you as possible, so if you require any reassurance, please do get in touch to let us know and we'll do our best to support you.
The dates for our coffee mornings are advertised on our Facebook members page. Please sign up to be updated with the latest information on what is happening. Members also receive email updates too for any upcoming events and news we need to share with you.
If you would like anymore information on our coffee mornings then please feel free to email us at nelpcf@gmail.com and one of our representatives will get back to you.

Contact
Contact was founded in 1970 by the families of disabled children as a way to provide a support service for them by bringing families together and helping them take action for others. They want the people who care for these children to feel valued and strong, allowing them to feel confident enough to make the right choices and decisions when it comes to moving forward with their families.
WHERE CAN WE TAKE YOU NEXT?

SIGNPOSTING
This is something we can do to support parent/carers. We are able to point people in the right direction on where they need to be and the best route in which to take to be able to get there.
